Main Street Chillicothe Announces Leadership Transition

CHILLICOTHE, MO — Main Street Chillicothe announces that Executive Director Tomie Walker has accepted the position of Executive Director of the Chillicothe Area Chamber of Commerce. While Tomie will be serving the community in a new capacity, she will continue to be a key part of the Chillicothe team, working to strengthen local businesses, foster collaboration, and support the vitality of our community.

During her time with Main Street Chillicothe, Tomie led numerous successful initiatives focused on downtown revitalization, historic preservation, public art, and community engagement. Her passion for people, storytelling, and placemaking has left a lasting impact on our historic downtown district.

“We are deeply grateful for Tomie’s leadership and dedication to our mission,” said Main Street Chillicothe Board President Chuck Erke. “Her creativity, vision, and collaborative spirit have advanced downtown Chillicothe in meaningful ways. We are thrilled she will continue to serve our community through her new role at the Chamber.”

This transition also presents an exciting opportunity for Main Street Chillicothe to welcome its next Executive Director. The organization is seeking a dynamic, community-minded leader to continue advancing the nationally accredited Main Street America™ program and to build upon the strong foundation already in place.
