Munch and Learn History Tour
Chillicothe, MO – – Main Street Chillicothe invites the community to explore local history on the Chillicothe Munch & Learn History Tour on November 21st at noon, showcasing the new Historic Signage Project in downtown Chillicothe. The project celebrates Chillicothe’s architectural and cultural evolution while offering an educational and visually enriching experience for both residents and visitors.
The tour begins at the Livingston County Courthouse, 700 Webster Street, where there is ample parking, ADA access, and restrooms. Guests will receive a complimentary sack lunch to enjoy during the walking tour or afterward at Silver Moon Plaza.
The downtown Historic Signage Project will install six double-sided metal signs, at key historic buildings and landmarks. Each sign features historical photographs and detailed descriptions, providing insights into the past appearance of the buildings, the businesses that operated there, the people who made them important, and other relevant historical facts.
Participants will discover six new historic signs that tell the stories of the people, places, and progress shaping Chillicothe:
