    Then and Now #23 - Scruby Brother's Building

    in Then and Now

    📍The Scruby Brothers Building, located at 508–10 Washington Street served as the home of a variety of businesses run by the Scruby family 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 for nearly 100 years 🕰️. First purchasing property at 508 Washington in 1891 📅, the wooden frame building on the lot burned down 🔥 the next year before a new brick building 🧱 rose on the lot by 1893 🏗️. Various family businesses operated out of the building until 1990 🏪. In 1992 Vintage Antiques 🛋️ occupied the building 🏠. Since 2010, County Corner Craft & Antique Store 🧶🕰️ has operated out of the property.
