New Mural Approved for North City Park 🌻

At the January 21 Seneca City Council meeting, the City of Seneca officially approved the design for a new mural coming to North City Park.

The mural will be painted on the south side of the park bathroom building and will feature a colorful design inspired by Kansas wildflowers. The project will be led by local artist Ellie Haynie, who was born and raised in Seneca. Ellie is the art teacher at Nemaha Central High School and an officer with the Northeast Kansas Arts Foundation. Her passion for sharing and celebrating the arts continues to leave a lasting mark on our community.

This mural project was brought forward by the Northeast Kansas Arts Foundation and will add another welcoming, creative touch to one of Seneca’s most-loved public spaces.

We can’t wait to see this wall bloom.
