What is Annie and Abel Van Meter State Park?
The park is more than a campground. It’s a place where history, culture, and the great outdoors come together. The park features:
- A 21-site campground with both electric and basic options
- An 18-acre fishing lake with canoe and kayak rentals
- The Missouri’s American Indian Cultural Center, highlighting Native American art and history, including Van Meter heritage
- The historic Walter House, built in the 1930s by the Civilian Conservation Corps, available for events and gatherings
With so much to offer, it’s the perfect spot for families, history buffs, and anyone who loves spending time outdoors.
