RealityU: Help Our Students Navigate "The Real World!

The bridge between the classroom and the "real world" is built by the presence of local professionals. When businesses volunteer for programs like RealityU, they aren't just teaching students how to balance a checkbook; they are providing a front-row seat to the economic realities of adulthood. By sharing their expertise, local leaders help students understand the tangible consequences of financial choices, fostering a more fiscally responsible and economically literate future workforce. This mentorship demystifies the professional world, showing students that the local business community is invested in their individual success. Ultimately, when our students learn how life operates before they enter the market, our entire local economy becomes more resilient and better prepared for the challenges of tomorrow.

We know that a strong local economy starts with financially literate citizens. By volunteering for just a few hours, you can help students navigate the "real-life" impacts of budgeting, saving, and career decision-making. This is a powerful way for our business community to mentor the next generation and show them that we are invested in their success.

Interested? Please contact Haley Hall at haley_hall@usd368.org by March 12th to register as a volunteer. Let’s show our students what a supportive business community looks like!
