Go! Augusta

History

Go! Augusta was formed in 2021 by combining Downtown Augusta Inc, The Augusta Chamber of Commerce, and the Convention and Visitors Bureau.  Downtown Augusta Inc. was accepted as a National and State Main Street community in 2002.  The goal of the organization was to bring the Heart of our community back to our historic downtown.  In July of 2021, Downtown Augusta Inc. took on the Chamber and CTB and renamed the organization Go! Augusta.

Main Street Four Points: Transformation Strategies are implemented through comprehensive work in four broad areas, known as the Four Points.

• ECONOMIC VITALITY focuses on capital, incentives, and other economic and financial tools to assist new and existing businesses, catalyze property development, and create a supportive environment for entrepreneurs and innovators that drive local economies. Learn more >

  PROMOTION positions the downtown or commercial district as the center of the community and hub of economic activity, while creating a positive image that showcases a community’s unique characteristics. Learn more >
