The Girard Area Main Street has five points of focus: Planning, Organization, Design, Promotion and Economic Vitality for the four blocks surrounding the Crawford County Courthouse extending an additional block in each direction.

History

Girard Area Main Street was established late 2021 through a cooperation from the City of Girard and the Girard Area Chamber of Commerce. Community members were chosen by a bio-screening process to fill seven positions: City, Chamber of Commerce, Insurance, Legal, Financial, Community and Industrial representatives.

Our hope is to have a cohesive and distinct variety of business activity conducted in the Main Street Area. Specifically Main Street will commit to support those businesses as well as the historic preservation of our community.
